Original jeans were oversized Levi’s 550s. They were taken apart along the original stitching and laid flat, then joined with another panel from a lighter pair of Levi's to create a piece of denim large enough to cut my pattern from. The panels were joined with triple zigzag stitching following the original seam lines, then the excess was trimmed away, leaving subtle distressing.

This piece is a one-of-one textile artwork created using a genuine, pre-owned vintage Levi’s® garment as source material. The original garment has been deconstructed, altered, reconstructed, and transformed into a new artistic work.

TRANSFORMATIVE ARTWORK & TRADEMARK NOTICE

The finished piece is an independently created work of art. The original Levi’s® garment has been materially altered and incorporated into a new composition rather than being represented as an unaltered Levi’s® product.
